lately there has been so much shit coming out of people from Washington, I wonder what their thought process is before they open their mouths or began typing?

Traditionally President's have reached out to other Nations in times of crisis, with an expression of sympathy and commitment of US assistance, but Trump is not a "traditional" POTUS. Whatever that term may mean, he made no secret of that during the election, so people should not be surprised. Jr. is a bit more extreme in his views and associations with nationalists, so no big surprise. They are just holding on to the roughly 31% of USA eligible voters (62/200 million) that voted for them and that's what administrations do. With all the mounting pressures it becomes vital to hold that base. Sometimes poking the other 69% in the eye is the best way to appease the rest, at least when playing by these new rules. We've never seen it so blatantly before, but it got them elected so why change now? Since there's nothing anyone can do about it, it's best to just ignore it. If he wants to stay above the fray he should be watching his stock trades and any linkage to executive actions rather than posting on twitter, because rest assured that others are. If he's caught, he won't be able to claim executive privilege.
