"They would attack alcohol like they do guns."
Already been done. Prohibition -- greatest fiasco in our history. Some who thought they would do their fellow man a favor (whether he wanted that favor or not) by keeping him safe, sane, and sober wound up creating a popular contempt for law, a corruption of politicians and law enforcement, and the enrichment of organized crime that continues to pervade our society today.

Yes it has been done and worked about as well as banning firearms would however they are so big on saving lives and making a difference, why are they not going after this? They could make it to where only liquor stores can sell, no selling on Sunday, and make other moves. By no means do I support this, just saying while they go after the 2nd amendment talking about saving lives and doing good they should really show they care and try to fix other problems. They don't because they want a society they can control and frankly an intoxicate person is easier to control.

MAJ Byron Oyler - I agree that we are seeing some of the same "I know better than you what is good for you and all society" in gun control advocates as was the case with the Prohibitionists.
That they ignore such more pressing problems of not only drunk driving, but the far worse plague of drug addiction, e.g. opioids, while refusing to see the DGU statistics that disrupt their anti-gun agenda, indicates the myopic view they hold .
