The amount of pollution that is spewing out because of these lava events is astronomical.
People have to run from many of the open ground cracks not from the lava but from the gases that are rushing out non-stop for days.
How will this be cleaned up ?

I'd be far happier talking about how to deal with natural disasters and climate change rather than how to prevent them. One is rational and the other hysterical. No amount of behavior modification is going to prevent climate change any more than it will prevent an earthquake or volcano. Earth is comprised of a geosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere that are complex beyond all imagining and not prone to tampering. These will fall dormant some time in the far distant future and life here will be extinguished. (We'd better be somewhere else when that happens) We successfully evolved as a species and will continue to thrive by getting along with our environment rather than bending it to our will. Those who claim otherwise simply want to control us. That's known as tyranny...
