Depending on where you go that's true. Like here in Hawaii we have some of the oldest Asian immigrant population I myself am 3rd generation and as far as very Americanized both me and my brother did not grow up in bilingual household had to learn our native tongues from school and Rosetta stone.

Know that feeling. I'm 2nd generation Dane and couldn't speak a word of Danish if my life depended on it. My father as a kid was actually punished if they tried speaking Danish. Obviously that attitude doesn't persist in the US today.
