The narrator is mistaken when he says "capitalism is failing". The US abandoned capitalism in the 1965-1971 time frame. The final official act of abandonment, which merely finalized what LBJ started, was performed by "Tricky" Dick Nixon in August of 1971. From then on, a system which can only be described as "creditism" (or something like that) was the US economic system. We went from a capitalist system, based on savings and capital, to "creditism", based on spending and credit. We've been on that system now for over 45 years. What this narrator is calling "capitalism" is really creditism, which essentially evolves into socialistic fascism.
What he is describing then, is the effects of creditism and socialistic fascism. He would be contributing to a solution if he defined the problem correctly in the first place.

The country is in for a rude awakening. As you said, we all know what globalism means. I wonder if the majority of Americans understand this concept.
