Man, what I wouldn't give to be able to see this in Scotland live.

@A1C Nathen Roberts Been there done that! On a balmy, summer evening! The allocated seats were ?16? Inches wide! Beautiful show! The Edinburgh Castle has a smallish parade deck. One half of it ? was allocated for money earning bleachers. A great production with more bagpipes than you could imagine. On a wonderful evening in Scotland.

We actually stayedi in a real hotel in Edinburgh, not a b & b, we were able to walk to the Edinburgh Castle via ?Prinsess Street.

We also happened upon the Highland Games in Oban, they were even more stupendous! The parking lot attendants wore Kilts and curtseyed to the Lord of the Clan MacDougall(?), when he exited his Rolls Royce to observe the Games.

A semi-pro “lifter” was so muscular that he he could hardly walk to the arena. He of course surpassed all of the local amateurs in the ‘strength’ events. Their ‘Caber’ appeared to be a mini-telephone about 14 feet long. Contestants vied to throw it far enough that it would land on one end and then carry on to lift off the second end!

The Oban Games had Bagpiping contests in every corner, A major distraction from the bagpipes was the Highland Dancing eliminations going on simultaneously!
