He mainly left South Africa to avoid conscription in the South African army...not because of racial policies.
Also he did have privilege that others didn't have in the fact his dad was able to get him computers when they first came out among other things.
Add in that former Tesla employees have reported on his racist behaviors and attempted to sue (but I'm sure they can't afford the same lawyers he has).
"Former Tesla employee Marcus Vaughn, who worked in the Fremont, California, factory in 2017, alleged that the company’s production floor was a “hotbed for racist behavior.” Supervisors regularly used the “N word” around Black workers and he said he was fired after complaining to human resources about workplace harassment. “Although Tesla stands out as a groundbreaking company at the forefront of the electric car revolution, its standard operating procedure at the Tesla factory is pre-civil-rights-era race discrimination,” Vaughn wrote in his complaint, according to a Daily Beast report.
In a 2017 email to employees which the company later released in response to one of the lawsuits, Elon warned against “being a huge jerk” to members of “a historically less represented group.” He also wrote, “if someone is a jerk to you, but sincerely apologizes, it is important to be thick-skinned and accept that apology.”"
Also how is him getting bullied and his parents getting divorced make his life "complex and difficult?" LOL. That's pretty common for most people just in the US. Lots of people got bullied as kids. Lots of people have parents divorced. Hell my 7 year old has had a far more complex and challenging life than he has in her short life. I've been through far more than he has in my life. I fail to see how that's so "complex and challenging."
Also Charlie - people don't like him (not just on the left) because he's a horrible human being. That's what people dislike about him.

The point is Musk is an incredibly brilliant man who works hard. The left doesn’t want to give him credit. The thing is Musk is where he is because of hard work and brilliance. Millions of kids today have access to computers far more advanced than Musk had. How many produce video games?

I do agree Musk is an A hole. What he did to his first wife was terrible but she made things right. As Musk got PayPal up and running he got his wife to sign a sort of pre nuptial type agreement. She was an artist and didn’t know much about Musk’s businesses.Must then divorced her and sold PayPal netting mega bucks. She took him to court and won a decent settlement.
