Went to see Elton John in the early 80's at the ICC center at then West Berlin Germany.
One of the guys in my unit had someone back out on going with him.
He couldn't find anyone to go with him. Honestly I did not want to see Elton John. I was into rock n roll.
After about a half hour of begging me I relented and went.
It was a truly memorable concert that forever changed my attitude about Elton John. Truly a talented musician, singer, and person who knows how to work the audience.

Never saw him... i was always deployed somewhere on the other side of the planet. But friends tell me he put on GREAT shows.

Best concert I ever went to and he kept coming back for encores.
Worst concert by far was Frank Zappa. He was so bad I walked out. Its the only concert I have ever done that

There are few performers on this planet who perform just as well on stage as they do in the studio, Elton John is one of them. I saw him in Raleigh in 91, excellent show.
