I'm not really in favor of anything that is recommended by Snowden, but I know that there are those who are really sensitive to privacy concerns. I've always objected to this kind of encryption simply because it panders to the criminal element.

Encryption is vital I'm today's digital age. Not be a I think the government is spying or anything but because of financial activities. Think about what would happen if banks stopped using encryption to protect sessions. What of Amazon stopped using encryption to protect you when you made purchases. What would happen if people stopped using online banking/shopping because a criminal could watch all their activities?
