There was a program on TV about it. A photographer in England had about six of them and the lure was that he could keep them all hours of the day with no overtime and he could pose them in summer clothes in the English freezing cold temperatures. Most of English catalog girls belong to this guy. The robot was pretty expensive - around $6000 or so. There were other ones shown in the program that had "features" of a most interesting nature. The "lure" from that perspective was a "wife"/"partner"/"girlfriend" that is always ready, always in the mood, etc. The dolls are anatomically correct and have "working" parts. One guy was a widower at fifty and had a doll made that looked like his wife when they first got married at 20. It was pretty stunning the advances in technology.

PO3 Donald Murphy I am sure there are advantages, but I still find the idea kinda creepy.

LTC (Join to see) - Ya know its funny but Westworld has kind of broken that barrier along with other films (Exmachina, Bicentennial Man) and its to the point where a large chunk of society is "curious" about "such stuff."
