Equifax “acquires” or personal information and serious it for a profit. Why is that even legal?

The damage is already done. Replacing staff is not going to get the info out the wrong hands.
I do not believe the credit reporting agencies should not be allowed to exist in their current form.
I believe there should be a multi layered internet system in America to protect different issues.
There should be a business to business system with its own standalone operating system. Computers hooked to that system should only hooked to that system.
There should be a Governmental system with the same requirements as above.
The same should go for medical.
The internet all of us use should be managed differently.
No online use of credit cards. You go online do your shopping and place it as an order. Then call the company with the order number and give them your payment info then.
Make it much harder to hack and steal private info.
