Sometimes we all have to rise above this petty bickering and reach for something better. Put our differences aside and stand as one team, one fight..heart share.

I have been saying this on my facebook page. If I was the President and Kaep took a knee. First thing I would do is to in contact with him and invite him to the White House to at least listen to what he has to say. To at least listen to what he thinks should and can be done to change his view. But instead of getting on top of it from the beginning our leaders let it slide. Obama, Trump and the NFL is to blame for whats going on right now. Obama nor Trump has invited him to sit and listen to him. The NFL only cares when it hurts them financially, so they acted to late and now trying to save face and money. What irks me about Trump is that 3 weeks ago there was maybe 3-7 people taking a knee but he just had to open his mouth and call American football players SOBs which just blew the whole situation up. All it takes is for Trump (who is the POTUS now) to invite Kaep up there and actually listen what he has to say, not just a photo op and go from there. I bet that would stir us in the right direction.

He's right and I hope it does some good. He was able to convince Kaepernick to take a knee vice sitting, so maybe? I didn't and don't like their choice of using the flag. I don't think it was intended as disrespect though, even though it appears as such. The disrespect piece just shifted the narrative from the root issue. That could have been foreseen and why their choice was not well thought out. They don't get a make-over so the damage has been done. Anything they do now will always be overshadowed by the flag/anthem disrespect perception. Look before you leap, and then jump with both feet. Thanks for sharing.
