“Powell, one of four top NRA executives named in the lawsuit, is now seeking to distance himself from the organization he once helped lead.”
That should tell you all you need to know right there. He’s trying to save his own skin and probably took some sort of deal to get out of the crosshairs.
Do I think the NRA is a good organization anymore? No, I don’t.
Is that because of this situation? No, it’s not. The AG of NY isn’t going after them because of moral and ethical purity. She’s going after them because she probably in Bloomberg’s pocket and they’re in his way.
If they succeed in this, then it’ll be USCCA. Then GOA. Then FPC.
