I'm not siding with him nor with his actions. However, I will be the Devils advocate on this. Does he not have the right to remain silent? Perhaps he is exercising his rights and like the article said "his attorneys told police that he was going to provide a written statement at a later date". That is well within his rights to do so. So I fail to see the point in CNN article other than he is exercising his rights and CNN is doing what they do best by playing on the emotions of people to make this person look guilty before the investigation is complete and he has his trial.
