Ex-priest gets life in prison for 1960 parishioner slaying

It is disgusting. Once again, the Catholic Church stands accused of covering for an accused priest and sending him to a "treatment center". I am Catholic, I do believe in God, and I have serious, personal issues with those representing the Catholic Church here on Earth. They should have doing their utmost to protect the most innocent, and yet through action or inaction, have visited long-term, life-long harm. I know full-well that not all those who represent the Catholic Church are guilty of this crap, and the Monsignor whom I knew as a kid was a good man who was incredibly helpful to my single-parent household. That written, and I freely admit it, I cannot look at any priest, and not wonder, "did he"?
