9 times this was voted down, but the City council needs cash to bail them out from the 15 an hour insanity they started.
The city estimates the new tax would raise $140 million a year and cost between $10 million and $13 million to set up, plus an additional $6 million a year to enforce. The money would go toward affordable housing projects as well as other services for lower-paid workers.
Anyone ever hear of a government that keeps to the estimated budget cost? Anyone else believe all that money will actually go to "help" the homeless "low-income" (still trying to under stand how you can force people to pay 15 an hour and then call it low income) or are you jaded like me and think it will end up in the councils pockets at some point.
What a corrupt liberal city, they are burning from with and screaming for more petrol.
