SPC James Harsh - It's possible that there is something to this... however it's a lot more likely that someone simply selected or failed to unselect the recurring contributions button.

PO1 John Crafton - If she goes in several times to make single donations and accidentally makes recurring donations... after a few months she could have several recurring contributions coming out. The $100 limit speculation was just that... speculation, there is no evidence that this is a widespread problem other than "unnamed sources" back in the Spring of this year. If this were a systematic problem, there should be hundreds or thousands of people complaining at this point since there are liekly millions of people making such donations.
