SPC Robert Coventry I would step up, but I don't they will let 80 year old people enlist . Lol

Article mentions a few reasons and I can think of some others...
1. Strong economy discouraging people from serving since civilian job numbers are ample
2. Recruiting competition from other military services since they sometimes offer higher bonuses and educational support
3. Unqualified civilians who cannot be recruited without waiver (i.e. medical, criminal record, low ASVAB, etc.)
4. Benefit concerns due to military family housing scandal and GI Bill delays for veterans

When I joined the Army the minimum ASVAB I think was 90 and the USMC was 80 I hope the low ASVAB is not the reason, I think it is the snowflakes
