in my personal opinion, i think that the sentence & the fine is not steep enough or harsh enough to discourage anyone else from doing the same thing, because IF i was the judge in that case, i would impose the most severe punishment available & the steepest fine available to show that that kind of behavior will not be tolerated & will be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.

I fully agree that it wasn't nearly steep enough of a sentence. However, any kind of reputation he may have had is gone. He is at the age where he may spend his last days in prison. Also, the time he will be serving, plus the fines, will leave a substantial blemish on his credibility.

i agree, SGT, but what he did was an extreme disrespect to every VietNam Vet who served & earned their awards, & he should get a beat-down from a few VietNam Vets as punishment for his actions

This low life should have gotten more time in prison so he would have plenty of time to think about what he did.
