Some kids have hurt themselves and others by unsecured guns....but the fault lies with the parents for being irresponsible gun owners.

If we continue to make this a political issue it remains unsolvable. We can play ping pong with right/wrong or we can pay attention to securing weapons as we were taught by qualified instructors, in and out of service duty. The potential for accidental discharge is a serious issue that requires constant attention by anyone handling firearms and again when leaving firearms behind. Even with caution, mishaps occur. There is only one best solution. SECURE YOUR WEAPONS AND STAY ALERT.
