Similarly, had a you man I used to work with that was drugged at a night club. While he was dancing, someone dropped something in his cup! Lost everything because he lost a DUI conviction when he had been the designated driver, of the group. The clubs bar tender even testified he hadn’t provided anything more than soft drinks! Poor kid didn’t even know what hit him... The Command had a zero DUI policy and blamed him for getting behind the wheel. Shame, was truly an outstanding up-coming troop too! Overbearing command climate? Too many lies by “others” in the past? Shame, the Army lost a good one that day when they didn’t look at all the evidence in front of them and realistically opt for professional drug testing as an option! Too little too late. Over 20 years ago now, but things one has to be aware of still today if you go out! Finish your drink before you get up from the table... Or, be damn sure you know whom you are with!

Unfortunately, people lie about being raped for the same reasons people lie about being Navy SEALs. Or the same reasons famous actors lie about being attacked.
It happens more than anyone cares to admit.
