I find it sad that it takes a celebrity death for this to become an open subject. The Veteran Community has been losing members at an alarming rate, and (aside from a few compartmentalized groups, RP included) it is a taboo subject. Why does society attach a stigma to Mental Illness? Why can't we address serious medical conditions that affect the majority of the population? Why does mental health have to be the butt of a joke, or something suffered in silence. I am glad that this is happening. I hope it takes off, and brings mental health to main stream discussion. Society needs to evolve beyond our archaic thinking.
