Sometimes when I read about cases like this, I wonder if the punishment shouldn't be a one-time, take it or leave it offer to get 12 mos. in the pokey or immediate deployment to the the one place we'd like to be but can't "officially" be...who knows; maybe guys like this are "tactical savants"?
Makes me wonder if the CIA isn't "misplacing" some cracked eggs here and there.
