However, even if they successfully complete the training, they will not be allowed to fly, and they may even risk losing their guaranteed AFSC.
So, you have people willing to volunteer for the training, but then are told they are basically doing it for nothing, simply to prove the point that you don't need a 4-year degree to complete initial UPT (hell, most enlisted have a 4-year degree at this point if they are at the NCO level of their career).
