Not a single thing in it that actually addresses what happened in Parkland. This is the worst form or political theater. They have attempted to deny the rights of citizenship to 18-21 year olds to appear as though they are doing something. This entire situation was avoidable but no one addressed the policy on not arresting violent students or laws requiring law enforcement to be more aggressive etc.

What's the reasoning behind the three-day waiting period having exceptions for the purchase of rifles and shotguns by law enforcement officers, correctional officers, active duty military members and all members of the Florida National Guard and United States Reserve Forces?

I agree but it's politics. SCOTUS gets the case and overturns the State. The Gov still looks tough and he maintains high voter confidence. It's not about doing anything. It's all about looking like you are doing something.
