Outstanding article. Chris. Pretty much spells it out. I agree, that guy had not right to shove the man down. Everyone said he had not right to shoot, but we have no idea what happened immediately after he hit the ground. If he felt the attack was not going to end, then he had to right to stop the attack. The man was arguing with his girlfriend, and he took offense, and thought he could just shove the man to the ground. NO! You do not have the right to shove anyone. Period. That is assault, which authorizes the use of deadly force, especially if the attacker is bigger and younger.
