It is unfortunate that from 1787-1897 no less than 50 million natives wear killed in the name of frontier progress. Now let that sink in for a minute.During the gold rush of 1840's - 1895 the bounty for a native body was $25 in California,15 for a woman or baby.I personally know Redelk fourth grandson of Crazy Horse who is also a former US Marine during Vietnam. We as a nation are so divided these days, where as history is not only dismissed and not taught in schools but is a reminder of who and what we are today as a nation. It is imperative for US as a nation to teach our history, but also to instill the ability to listen.

Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on November 9, 1875 Indian Inspector E.C. Watkins submits a report to Washington, D.C., stating that hundreds of Sioux and Cheyenne Indians associated with Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse are hostile to the United States. In so doing, Watkins set into motion a series of events that led to the Battle of the Little Big Horn in Montana the following year.
