I'm really concerned why so many people are not getting this message? There are hundreds of studies and TV shows (Intervention) documenting this every single day, yet it seems to go unnoticed! Why? Although some of these "questions" seem rhetorical, I really think we ("responsible" adults) have a responsibility to educate the upcoming generations - and we are doing a lousy job!

This is one of the first times I've read research on this topic. I does deserve more though, though. American culture continues to shift. I think these older threads tie in a bit with the author's claims.
