Before Val Kilmer became popular in Top Gun as Ice Man, he was in a movie called Top Secret.

This movie was a parody and here in East German vehicle barely touches a Ford Pinto and the gas tank explodes.

Ford Pintos were known to have their gas tanks catch on fire due to the gas tank being close to the rear bumper and rear axle.

I never liked the Pinto engine, but it was a better engine that the Vega engine.

I remember that problem, and the VW Bug fuel line leaked on the distributer, and caught fire too.

Later, the intake manifold went to the side of the engine, so the carburetor wouldn't sit right over the distributor.
