Sir, your question on when did Rome become part of the ME? Are you infering Briton in the question? To me, Rome controlled the ME and Rome desired destablization in Syria and Egypt as it did so to keep them weak. But, Rome ruled from Italy, then Turkey after the western part was invaded by illegal aliens.
I thought this was a good post. But, the article should have read persecution of Christians by Islam for the last 1400yrs...

Respectfully, The bigger confusing statement is that Christianity is on the verge of extinction in the Middle East. The population has certainly declined in the past few centuries, but there are still tens of millions of Christians in the region

However, while no one claims that Jesus was southern baptist as opposed to a Jew, Rome isnt the birthplace of Christianity. If you contend otherwise, could you please explain how.
