Former Marine faces 21 years for stealing combat veteran's story of valor

I must be missing something. I don't understand why someone would steal another individuals pain and suffering just to benefit themselves, and in the back of their minds, know that at some point, they will be caught. I know what I did and didn't do during my deployments, and live with it everyday, but to do something like this is sick.

The best thing to do would be to slow roast him first, then put him in prison.

I wonder why anyone would want to steal a story they should be proud of their own. I serve in peace time but am proud of it I don't need to lie about it.
