Fort Carson Soldier Charged with Abusing His Child until Bone Disorder Found

The child welfare organizations sometimes are over zealous in removing children from their parents. Their primary goal is the safety of the children. The need for better training in medical knowledge concerning the diagnosis of the family situation leaves a lot to be desired. Recognizing this can remove a lot of error and prevent situations like this from happening.

The criminals in this case were the ones that took the baby without doing their homework. But obviously, working for the state they will never get prosecuted.

I have had that happen in civilian ERs. It's an unusual disease and many people jump the gun and assume abuse.
