SFC (Join to see) - Thanks, years ago when I was working I did a survey for the county to try to get a government grant to restore part of the fort. Was a costly project guess it never got anywhere.

It is interesting to find out the Third System used as the defense system for the Navy yard in Pensacola. It is much larger than Fort Barrancas. Unfortunately, Fort McRee is no more. The Fort Pickens area is a good place to go because of the campground and beach. If you want to stay away from the crowd on Pensacola beach, this is the place.
