Foul play suspected in deaths of Green Beret and Army veteran in Fort Bragg training area

Fort Bragg Green Beret dies in training area along with another veteran at the NC Army Post. The men were identified as Master Sgt. William J. Lavigne II and 44-year-old Timothy Dumas. Foul play is suspected- Dumas is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is a resident of Pinehurst, NC.

There was an additional detail in Army Times, that MSG Lavigne had committed what was later ruled to be justified homicide of a friend during an altercation back in 2018. Can't help but wonder if it's related.
