When making females look like males is a higher priority than fixing our maintenance shortfalls in the wing and keeping our birds in the sky, then there is a big problem with our senior leadership.

If you are having trouble with maintenance issues then do not blame the uniform board. Blame the someone in the maintenance/supply arenas. My most frequent maintenance issues were caused by some supply nerd who didn't want to release the hold on dollars... Good luck getting them back in the air Marine!

Negative, Gunny. I'm just a comm guy; however, I've seen firsthand the results of a lack of flight hours caused by having too few flyable aircraft in my previous unit. The Corps has less than 50% of our birds operational, and mechs have resorted to cannibalizing their own aircraft and even using museum aircraft parts to patch their birds up. It's much more than some supply nerd trying to save money. We need to spend less money on frivolous things such as uniform testing that does nothing to improve functionality and more on the things that actually matter.

The lack of flight hours is caused way above the paygrade of anyone in uniform. Can't spend money you don't get, but as Marines always do.....they do more with less. Semper Fi

Don't change anything. Female blues coat, skirt, and cover gave any female Marine who wore them a very classy appearance in my opinion. I still don't completely agree with the change to having females wear the male blues cover.

I really think it was originally about money. Now, I have no idea. If females can wear the same coat and cover as males, it saves money on the supply side. No idea what the motivation is now if they're trying to redesign it. There was no need otherwise.
