After the Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Austria presented Serbia with an ultimatum and was given 48 hours to reply. The Serbs agreed to all of the Austrian demands bar one. The Austrians were so surprised by the humility of the Serbian reply that the foreign minister hid it for 2 days from the Germans. The Kaiser commented that the reply was “a great moral victory for Vienna, but with it, every reason for war disappears." On 28 July Austria rejected the Serbian reply and declared war.

They had already Won and yet still demanded War. This insanity drew the Germans in and from there all the treaties between all the countries fell in to place. The Triple Alliance of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy. The Triple Entente of Britain, Russia and France. In the end Italy sided with France and stayed out of it.

The men in the trenches and all the Civilians that died, did so because of the Blood lust of old men and an faked moral outrage. It is nice to know that During this war and WWII men stopped killing one another even for a short time and tried to regain some of their humanity.
