This is the latter version of the third novel, the one released at the same time as Saving Private Ryan, that got swamped by that other film, so historically inaccurate, apart from the cinematographically famous openin D-Day Omaha Beach sequence, which my late father-in-law was actually at, I think, he got a Bronze Star during the Battle of Nancy leading a minefield charge during the crossing of the Moselle River with the 90th Div., the Tough Hombres, I'd mentioned that numerous times before on here, obviously....
