I just couldn't wrap my head around as to why the brief to the Senate couldn't happen at Congress as they jumped through their butts to convert an auditorium on WH grounds to support a large group for a classified briefing.

MAJ James Woods Good point and good question;
I look forward to hearing more about this.

Having worked on the HSC/NSC staff in previous administrations, I can affirm that those WH spaces can and have been used for discussions, briefings, and exercises at all classification levels; but I have never seen 100 senators in there at the same time. The security needs can be accomodated, but this does appear unusual.
It will be interesting to watch what all these senators say, and how they will say it, after this classified briefing, since none of them have declassification authority.

I think that there is a pre-emptive strike coming, as all the pieces (carrier, subs, bombers, etc.) have been arriving for months. I think the meetings were an informational "heads-up" and to get Congressional "pre-approval" on the plan. I hope I am wrong on this, but the facts are out there.

All the talk of resolving this through diplomacy is a smokescreen, IMHO. Diplomacy has not accomplished anything in over half a century, except show the Kim family that the world can be threatened and blackmailed. Everyone who has been watching North Korea for any length of time knows this. Diplomacy, at this point, is like throwing gasoline on a house fire. IMHO, of course.

Nothing yet. The senators get briefed at 1500 ET; the House gets briefed at 1700. Nonetheless, I share your interest. One of my daughters is stationed in Suwon, just south of Seoul, and my wife is currently visiting the ROK. To say I am interested is an understatement.
