No fighting, no drinking, no sex. All the same yet not all the same treatment.

Naval Corpsman have been assigned to Marine rifle companies for many years along with Navy Chaplains. There was a time when a great deal of support services were provided by the naval service. Transport, supply even forward construction units "Seabees" to name a few support services. This tration should not only be continued with all the new and the old support services but increased. The support of Marine combat units, Marine Recon units even armor are transported by the U.S. Air Force. Thank you Air Force. Good box lunch surprize. The navy has schools in place with ribbons and decorations for supporting Marines. The Navy and U.S. Air Force schools are the best not to mention the chow.
The Marine Corps tradition of every Marine a rifleman must continue. The title of "Rifleman" had to be fought for during the last man gutting purge of the political correct.
Combat motor transport different than motor transport, combat engineers,different than engineers, combat forward supply, different than supply.
Any unit, cyber or other support, that needs to be very close to the fight requires that support unit to be manned by Marines that will go from combat support function to combat infantry without any delay. With the exception of stretcher wounded all Marines that can stand up flat footed and piss without pissing on themselves will need to fight shoulder to shoulder right now.

I don't see why cyber warfare couldn't be any different from Medics and JAGs -- they serve with Marines, and Marines depend on them, but they aren't Marines. I knew medics that trained with Marines and wore the uniform (minus the EGA), and I think the cyber guys can be the same way -- those who choose to do so can train with Marines and wear the uniform (minus the EGA) and be attached to Marine units and deploy with Marines, but they'd actually be Navy personnel.

At least, that's one way of doing it.
