Tying the rise of Trump in the US with the far right parties in western Europe makes a giant leap of credibility. The US has as its problems the sustainment of healthcare to the masses alongside crippling costs, illegal immigrants absconding with social services intended for the home grown impoverished, and the sustainment of national defense with its escalating costs. Europe has many ancillary problems, including those of the US, but its very existence as a national union is on the brink. Mr. Trump speaks in tones with a bombastic nature that irritates many but was elected to be president for the next 4 years. The Netherlands, France, Germany, and other EU nations have pending elections with the future of the EU at stake. The US & its European allies have troubling political scenes at the moment but any similarities with talking heads candidates are sketchy at best and non-existent at worst.
