The rules were pretty clear up front. He needed to reach a threshold of support he was simply unable to meet. He didn't help himself when tossed two softball question during two separate interviews and completely missed. The "what is Aleppo" moment and then not being to name a single current world leader he thought was good.

Having a strong independent candidate would have been a good think this cycle. He ain't it.

The polling has obviously been skewed. He is polling at 35% of the registered independents. Independents make up 47% of the electorate. That's 16.45% right there. Additionally he has grabbed 37% of millenials. The polling is purposely skewed because the people conducting the polls have a vested interest in keeping a two party system.

Unfortunately he would not have a chance in a debate. While he has some good ideas, he is very shortsighted. One must have a serious grasp of issues in America and the world. His has proven to have an almost nonexistent knowledge of world affairs.

I just realized that I opened by stating that he would not stand a prayer in a debate. What I should have said was he would not stand a chance in a real debate. As entertaining as last night's fiasco was, it was not a real debate. He could easily have done quite well last night. They discussed so little that matters he could have hung in there.
