Looks like Congress means business when it comes to accountability of senior leaders in the military. Our classes on threat awareness included measures by adversaries to gain positions of relative advantage which can then be leveraged in order to compromise classified information.

First, it is conduct unbecoming. That alone should have them busted. I have seen NCOs busted for adultery and discharged. It is bad for morale to allow that type of behavior to go unpunished. Second, you are right. It can be used to compromise the individual. And third, why should they be able to flourish in the defense contracts business afterward?
