German Building Boom Unearths Explosive Problem (The Wall Street Journal)

While I was stationed in the Eifel area in the 90s, there was a German (Herr Horst) with the full time job of handling off installation UXOs. He was fairly busy even then.

They have been finding this stuff for a long time. They are still finding tanks that were driven into lakes and such as well. Wait until someone authorizes the exploration of the tunnel network that was built by Hitler.

Been a problem in Europe for a long time. They find UXOs/caches all over every time a new dig is started. Good work I guess. I'd hate to be on the end of a backhoe on some of ordnance left over.
