I hope the SPs, MPs, and AFSFs get plussed up. I don't see this ending well for many people

Same tired song and dance we've heard in every state that allowed concealed carry blood in the streets what about the children people are going to die and in every single state none of that has come true the military has an even additional layer over the civilian populous and conceal carry laws in Texas for instance you just have to be an upstanding citizen on a military installation not only do you have to meet those standards but your commander has to decide he wants you to have it anyway

PO3 Steven Sherrill I agree. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
SGM Erik Marquez You have been around and lead Soldiers in your career and I'm sure you have been woken up in the dead of night because one of them had done something stupid. Now, with your intimate knowledge of "Joe", would you trust "Joe" with being mature enough to possess a weapon and have him/her not do something stupid? We had NDs (negligent discharges) in combat environments. What would that look like on post?

SSG Michael Hartsfield -
If they meet the current state requirements here in Texas absolutely
In Texas concealed handgun license fees are literally the most trustworthy and honest demographic of any other group in Texas they are less likely to commit a crime then any other group to include law enforcement
Sit testicle he Texas concealed handgun license holders are the most trustworthy in the state
So the same guy that you're talking about I would be concerned with a concealed handgun on post isn't eligible for a concealed handgun license so it's a moot point
Substance abuse past criminal activity not being 21 domestic violence all of those things or disqualifiers and all of those people that gave me problems like you mentioned in the middle of the night would've never been allowed a concealed handgun in the first place

SSG Michael Hartsfield - I don't agree with that at all. If I have a right, who are you to imply that I shouldn't exercise it? It's one of the things you swore to uphold and defend.

I think this will be similar to concealed carry in states like California...that is, technically it is legal but actually getting someone to sign off allowing it will be an entirely different issue. I hope I'm wrong.
I had the thought that this was released with the hopes of the next President not getting involved with the issue. Mr Trump has already stated he intended to implement a CCW policy on day one of his presidency.

Thanks CPO Andy Carrillo, MS ! A good start. The 90 day authorization is a bummer, as commanders have better things to do than constantly re-signing authorizations. But, it's better than nothing.
