SGT Michael Thorin Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have two democrats for senators and four out of five representatives are democrats. A little hard to get through to them. Their whole day is spent on trying to make Trump look bad.

I'm not getting this. My Representative is Phil Roe and he has been a solid Republican. In addition, he is a Vet and was a military Doc. This whole area voted for conservative officials and this would not bode well for him is this is accurate. I stopped voting for our two Republican Senators long ago, perhaps now him.

SGT Michael Thorin If they do this, then they should be required to remove the ten year expiration of benefits clause!

That sounds more than just reasonable, it sounds like they should be required to drop the 10 year expiration since the servicemember is actually paying into it.

Fyi, post 9-11 GI Bill benefits (aka Chapter 33 GI Bill) has a 15 year expiration date. I also remember paying $100/month for the Montgomery GI Bill (CH 30), as well as a kicker to add more months of benefits before leaving active duty. Even a small pay-in such as this is an extremely good return on investment in my opinion.

According to the education office at Redstone Arsenal, the 911 bill expires at 10 years. I will have to research it at this point.
