Doesn’t make a difference in the long term, the SCOTUS Pendulum eventually swings both ways. Aside from that, we never can rely on the court members to remain in the approach as when they were nominated. Chief Justice Roberts comes to mind. If Trump has this chance to select another member, it will be contentious. Bring on Lindsey Graham.
