Ahh, I've shot competition shooting bowling pins in the 90's. You had to shoot the pins off the table as fast as you can, and the pins had to fall off the table to stop the clock.

I was shooting a 38 super 1911 that day, and lost the match by 200th of a second, coming in 2nd place. I had to shoot one pin twice, the first round went threw the pin, not knocking it off the table.
The winner that day was a washing machine repairman, he was shooting a 1911 with 45APC, it showed me the slow heavier round was best for shooting bowling pins with one shot.

By the way, we both shot the 5 pins under 2 seconds at the draw. He won the handgun 1st prize, and I won the Wilson Gun Bag 2nd prize, and still use that bag today at the range.

I still have that 1911 that I built 29 years ago, last year I turned it into at every day carry handgun, but still have it in 38 super, but soon, I'll have it in 45ACP. All I have to do is replace the ramped 38 super barrel, and bushing.

Picture is of my race 38 super, and after I changed it into a everyday carry.

I might do better with a pistol than a bowling ball, because the last time I bowled, I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn.

I'm old school. I liked the first pistol Uncle Sam allowed me to use. 1911A1
