What if NK gets EMP technology and blows one up high over our country knocking out our electronics infrastructure and power grid? That would be catastrophic! Boy king Kim Jong Un is stupid enough to initiate hostilities if he thinks he could put a hurt on us and get away with it.

Oh come on, NK doesn't have anything compared to Soviet Union at its height and we had/have systems to defend against that. The one or two ICBMS that NK could possibly launch wouldn't be much of a challenge to intercept and who cares about EMP. EMP was a consideration back in 70s & 80s but military systems and to some extent civilian systems have long been EMP hardened.
