Government Accidentally Shuts Itself Down With Ban On Non-Essential Businesses

Congress actually is planning on going home until April 20th (yup, 4/20), because they are afraid of meeting and contracting the coronavirus. In their defense, it is virtually impossible for Congress to conduct business in the Capitol building without being in proximity with each other. But running home to hide reminds me of back in 2001 when we had the anthrax letters getting sent around. Our Senator, Mark Dayton (D-MN) - later inexplicably elected governor for two terms - went home to Minnesota and refused to return to DC for over a year - well after the Senate office building was cleaned up and the Senate had reconvened. His cowardice cause him to not run for reelection.
