Grace Hopper: Navy to the Core, a Pirate at Heart

She was awarded the Medal of Freedom today at the White House post humously. Her contributions to Computer Progamming and Information Technology are immeasurable. Much of the DoD systems and Private Business today still run on the computer programming languages she invented. Her innovations alone in IT have to be worth tens of Billions of dollars today but they were given freely. She also was the person who invented the term "debug" as in "debug a program" after a moth flew into one of her room sized computers and short circuited a processing circuit.
